US Founder & President

Doug Holliday

Doug and Jennifer Holliday share a deep and growing passion to impact the nations. Doug speaks to students at camps and conferences across the US and trains leaders around the world.

Their vision is to engage the body of Christ in its Great Commandment-Great Commission priorities by inspiring, instructing and involving the next generation of missional leaders worldwide.

Doug first met Pastor Wiljean Compere at Amsterdam 2000, a conference hosted by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association that saw over 10,000 leaders from around the globe come together to find ways to partner in worldwide evangelism. Doug made his first visit to Haiti in 2003 and began bringing teams there yearly to assist Open Door Church with their vision.

In 2006, Doug and Jennifer founded Open Door Haiti as a mission effort of their local church, Seminole Community Church in Sanford, FL, with a focus on planting churches, equipping leaders, assisting the poor, caring for the sick and educating youth.  Over the years, Open Door Haiti has grown, adding a Child Sponsorship Program, Medical Missions, Micro-Industry and US staff to help lead all these efforts. In 2009, Open Door Haiti became its own non-profit, securing 501(c)3 tax exempt status.

While Doug's ministry efforts take him across the US and throughout East Africa and the Philippines, Open Door Haiti receives the majority of his attention. As President of Open Door US, Doug leads the US staff, assists the ministry with church planting efforts, leads the School Of Youth Ministry, serves as an ambassador to churches and youth ministries across the US, and currently is championing Open Door's orphans & widows project.
