School of Youth Ministry (SOYM)
Along with providing equipping and encouragement for those in the trenches of ministry through regularly scheduled training events, the Training Center provides intensive training, coaching and mentoring through a residential internship program designed for those pursuing youth ministry.
The Open Door School Of Youth Ministry (www.SOYM.org) is an intensive training program for young people pursuing a calling in youth ministry. SOYM annually hosts 12-20 Haitian young people for a 4 month residence program, where they are taught Bible, theology, practical ministry skills & leadership development.
They also gain a working knowledge of both english and a marketable trade (computer, carpentry, sewing), preparing them for bi-vocational ministry. At the end of the 4 month program students return to their home church for a 6 month internship where they complete ministry assignments and are mentored by their senior pastor. SOYM was launched in August 2008.
SOYM tuition, room and board is $500 for the entire program. Scholarship a student today.
